The History of APC (1870-1970) has been published in a 17 page booklet located in the church office.  The booklet features information about the founding of the congregation shortly after the Civil War, and it continues through the history of the congregation highlighting particular events from Christmas pageants to fellowship dinners to fixing up the manse for the new pastor.  A copy of the booklet can be found in the church office.  If you would like to see it, please contact Travis Prestwood (prestwot@bellsouth.net).

This year Acworth Presbyterian celebrates its 140th anniversary.  A special event is being planned for the fall.  Contact the church if you have anything you would like to contribute to the event.  We especially appreciate any pictures or other memorabilia you may have on the life of the church.


Our history is important for it grounds us in who we are as God's people and helps us discern what God continues to call us to do in the present.
